Insect Control

Insect control is a major problem in some areas. Although most insects are beneficial, some inflict damage or even kill trees.

There are 3 basic ways insects harm trees:

• CHEWING insects eat twigs, buds, flowers or leaves.

• SUCKING insects feed on branches, leaves, flowers or fruit.

• BORING insects tunnel beneath the bark to lay eggs or feed.
